We have had the best week seeing our Wolf Cubs dressed up and excited about the holiday season! Just a reminder, next week's dress up days are :
Tuesday - Shine bright like a holiday light and jingle all day! (wear your favorite holiday accessories such as lights, garland, light up necklaces, bells, etc.)
Wednesday - Let it Snow! (let's create a blizzard by wearing all white, snowflakes, or snowmen!)
Thursday - Christmas Character Day! (dress as your favorite character from a holiday movie or cartoon!)

Our November attendance was the best so far this year! We had 443 absences and 356 tardies for the month. This is the lowest we have had all year! Thank you for your diligence in making sure your Wolf Cubs are here every day! A special congratulations to Mrs. Farray's class who has had the best attendance in the building two months in a row! Great job!!

A December to Remember has started at Mason Creek! Today we "kicked off" the holiday season with jersey day and team day! Tomorrow everyone can tell us if they are Team Elf or Team Reindeer by how they dress! We can't wait to see which one wins!

Our November Beanstack Challenge is coming to a close over Thanksgiving Break! We are asking students to read 300 minutes during the month of November! Be sure you have 300 minutes logged by November 30th! Our December Challenge is going to be very exciting! Starting December 1st, we are challenging Mason Creek Middle School to see which school can read the most minutes during December. Since this challenge is during our Winter Break, Wolf Cubs have plenty of time to knock this out of the park! The top reader at MAES, with parent permission, will even get to go visit the library at Mason Creek Middle School for a part of a day in January to celebrate being the top reader at MAES!

Today is World Kindness Day! We spotlight students who show acts of kindness on our Monday morning announcements every week in a feature called Kindness Matters Monday. Today, since it's World Kindness Day, we'd like to spotlight a student who is always kind and was recognized for helping pick up trash that wasn't hers in the cafeteria today to be kind to our wonderful custodians! The Douglas County School System works with Douglas County Public Libraries and the West Georgia Regional Library. Due to this partnership, we can borrow books from any library in the PINES system all over Georgia and they deliver them to our school! We currently have four novel studies going at Mason Creek due to this! Thanks West Georgia Regional Library!
