Anslee Daniel is a junior at the University of Tennessee- Knoxville studying Journalism and Electronic Media.  She is from the Metro-Atlanta area. Anslee discovered her passion and talent for news at the Douglas County College and Career Institute where she completed a pathway for Audio, Video, Technology and Film. She continued to use her skills as a correspondant and anchor for the Volunteer Channel News her freshman and sophomore year of college. 


In the summer of 2017, Anslee completed a Foreign Correspondent Course through TOL Education in Prague, Czech Republic. That summer, she was an intern for WATE (ABC Affiliate) in Knoxville, Tennessee. In the spring of 2018, Anslee participated in another internship with WBIR (NBC Affiliate) in Knoxville as well. That internship lead to her current part-time position at that station as a Visual Storyteller.

Throughout her collegiate career, Anslee has had the opportunity to serve in various leadership positions. She is a member of The Society of Professional Journalists and Delta Gamma Fraternity. Currently, she is a Leadership Knoxville Scholar,  an executive member of the Student Government Association, and is a Land Ambassador for the College of Communication and Information. Throughout her collegiate career, she has received several awards and scholarships. 

Anslee plans to graduate in May of 2019 with a major in Journalism and Electronic Media and a double minor in Political Science and Leadership Studies.
