Apply to CCI Nights:

Apply to CCI Nights are virtual information sessions for parents and students. Program requirements as well as the registration process will be discussed. Students and parents will also have the opportunity to speak with program instructors and gather more information about their program of interest.

CCI Dual Enrollment Programs:

CCI Dual Enrollment Programs are college-level certification programs facilitated by West Georgia Technical College and Georgia Highlands College through the Douglas County School System. Students who complete a CCI program earn one or two (depending on the program) college certificates in their chosen field.  Any interested Douglas County 10-12 grade student with 4 consecutive class periods available in their schedule is eligible to participate. CCI High School Programs:
CCI also offers an Audio Video Technology & Film program. This program is for high school credit only! Students are eligible to participate in grades 9-12. For more information on the Audio Video Technology & Film program,  please click here. 

Apply to CCI Checklist: 

Students who wish to participate in CCI Dual Enrollment programs must be accepted and admitted into their program's post-secondary institution (Georgia Highlands College or West Georgia Technical College) before they are registered for their chosen program. To assist in the application process, we have created an Apply to CCI Checklist students and parents can use to ensure they have completed/submitted all of the necessary paperwork. The checklist can be found by clicking below. Completed paperwork should be turned into your high school's career center specialist or the student's assigned counselor for approval. FinTech Apply to CCI Checklist 

Registration Packets: 

Click the links below to access a digital CCI Registration packet. DCSS students may complete the digital packet using Kami (following these instructions) or by printing the packet and filling it in by hand. Completed digital packets must be physically handed to or sent in PDF format to the student's assigned counselor for approval. The assigned counselor will then submit the packet to CCI. 

Physical CCI Registration packets can be picked up in your school's college and career centers or from your assigned counselor. 
ALL completed CCI packets will need be submitted to the student's assigned counselor or career center specialist. If you do not know your assigned counselor, please visit your school's website or check the Apply to CCI App.

Admission Requirements:

To be admitted to a CCI Dual Enrollment program students must:
*Be on track for high school graduation
*Have 4 consecutive electives available (8 at AHS) the year they are planning to participate in a program
*Meet GPA requirements:
            - West Georgia Technical College: 2.0 HOPE GPA after completion of 9th grade
            - Georgia Highlands College: 3.0 Academic GPA after completion of 10th grade 

            - high school programs: no GPA requirement 

Funding Apps:

A funding app is the method by which WGTC (or other post-secondary institution) is paid by the state for Dual Enrollment students. To be registered for a CCI program, students must complete a funding app. Students will NOT be registered for their programs until a funding app has been submitted. 

A new funding app is needed for each year a student is enrolled in a program. There are two sections to the funding app, a student section and a parent section. BOTH sections will need to be submitted before the application is considered complete. 

Students will NOT need to complete separate funding apps for CCI programs and core Dual Enrollment Courses.
