Admission Requirements

for CCI Dual Enrollment programs


1.

Grade Level

A student must be in 10th, 11th, or 12th grade to participate in a CCI Dual Enrollment program

2.

On track for Graduation

A student must be on track for high school graduation to participate in a CCI program. 

If a student has failed any course that is a high school graduation requirement and has not made up the credit, they are not eligible to participate in a CCI program 

3.

Schedule Availablity 

The student must have 4 consecutive electives (2 each semester) available in their schedule. 

**This may be difficult for students participating in art or magnet programs**

Meet The College's DE Admission Standards

2.0 high school GPA for CTAE (Technical) or 2.6 high school GPA for Core classes.

Prepared for Academic Rigor 

CCI students must be able to handle college level rigor

AGE

Some CCI programs have a minimum age requirement

Program age requirements are as follows: 

Dental Assisting- 17 by October 1st of participation year

Pharmacy Assisting- 16 by start of program

Register for selective service (males only)

Federal law requires males, between the ages of 18 and 25, living in the United States, to register for selective service. Additionally, Georgia state law (O.C.G.A. § 20-3-519.1(b)) requires selective service registration for males to qualify for Georgia’s state aid programs, which includes Dual Enrollment funding and HOPE Grant funding. Therefore, all males 18 years and older must register for selective service to receive funding for their CCI program.
